Howard W Cannon Aviation Museum

Enrich your Knowledge of Aviation History

The Howard W. Cannon Aviation Museum, nestled within the Harry Reid International Airport (formerly McCarran), stands out as a unique attraction. This cost-free indoor museum, dedicated to honoring former U.S. Senator Howard W. Cannon, presents a captivating display of Southern Nevada’s aviation history. It covers the period from the inaugural flight in 1920 to the era of jet travel, focusing on the rich tapestry of both commercial and general aviation history.

Moreover, Clark County Parks and Recreation and the Department of Aviation collaboratively operate this museum around the clock. The main exhibit, located above the baggage claim on level two, has an additional exhibit in the public and corporate aviation terminal managed by Signature Flight Support.

Visitors have a unique opportunity to witness the evolution of general and commercial aviation in Southern Nevada. The primary exhibit encompasses the transition from the advent of jets to the first flight in 1920, with supplementary displays strategically placed throughout Terminal 1. Additionally, exhibitions are accessible at the Henderson Executive Airport and North Las Vegas Airport.
