CITY OF LAS VEGAS SENIOR ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS

The city of Las Vegas active adult and senior centers offer exercise, fitness, craft, arts, dance, music
and computer classes; cards; games; discussion and social groups; luncheons; sports; and special
events Monday through Friday to residents age 50 and better. A listing of classes and activities is
published in the Beyond the Neon Leisure Guide, available in the centers and online at www.
lasvegasparksandrec.com. All activities are subject to change. Most activities require $2 annual
membership to city of Las Vegas Senior Citizen Programs, available at all senior and active adult
centers.

Ongoing Las Vegas Senior Activities and Events

New Walk with Ease Program (ages 50+)
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:30 p.m.
Cost: $5 drop in, or free with fitness pass purchase.

Join this new walking group that is part of the Arthritis Foundation program.

Lieburn Free Matinee Movies (ages 50+)
Wednesdays, 1:30 p.m.

It's time to get up, get out and active!  Seniors will enjoy a day of fun! Mental and physical activities

FREE with appointment.

Nevada Health Centers bring mammograms to your neighborhood!  Insured, uninsured, Medicare and

BIG Red Bus Tour (ages 50+)
Wednesday, Sept. 24, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Registration opens Aug. 15.
Cost: $15, includes tour of key sites in Las Vegas, City Hall and lunch.

RTC presents “Seniors on the Go” (ages 50+)
Wednesday, Sept. 24, 10 a.m.  Advance registration required.

Join Councilman Steve Ross and the Regional Transportation Commission as they educate seniors on
fixed bus routes; showing them how easy, affordable, comfortable and safe riding the bus can be.
Program will show how to use the Transit guide, read transit maps and enter/exit the bus for those with

Lou Ruvo Trip (ages 50+)

Cool Weather Gardening Workshop (ages 50+)
