CITY OF LAS VEGAS SENIOR ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS

The city of Las Vegas active adult and senior centers offer exercise, fitness, craft, arts, dance, music
and computer classes; cards; games; discussion and social groups; luncheons; sports; and special
events Monday through Friday to residents age 50 and better. A listing of classes and activities is
published in the Beyond the Neon Leisure Guide, available in the centers and online at www.
lasvegasparksandrec.com. All activities are subject to change. Most activities require $2 annual
membership to city of Las Vegas Senior Citizen Programs, available at all senior and active adult
centers.

Ongoing Las Vegas Senior Activities and Events

New Walk with Ease Program (ages 50+)
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:30 p.m.
Cost: $5 drop in, or free with fitness pass purchase.

Aid & Attendance Benefit from the Veterans Administration In-Home Care (ages 50+)
Tuesday, April 8, 9 a.m.
Cost: Free with current city of Las Vegas Senior Programs membership.

The Aid and Attendance Benefit from the Veterans Administration is a highly under-utilized benefit that
can help so many of our low-income, age 65+ veterans  (and/or surviving spouses) receive assistance
with their activities of daily living, when needed. Attend this lecture to find out how this free benefit can
provide 10-20 hours of free care per week for the rest of your life. Call (702) 229-1702 for advance

County Fair (ages 50+)
Thursday, April 10, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cost: $15, includes transportation and fair admission. Current $2 annual city of Las Vegas Senior
Programs membership required.

Easter Basket Workshop (ages 50+)

Please bring photographs of family and military from World War II to be scanned and displayed at the
Spirit of ’45 event!  Personal stories of the day the war ended will be recorded. The Spirit of ’45 is a
nationwide initiative to remember, honor and celebrate the achievements of America’s Greatest
