CITY OF LAS VEGAS SENIOR ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS

The city of Las Vegas active adult and senior centers offer exercise, fitness, craft, arts, dance, music
and computer classes; cards; games; discussion and social groups; luncheons; sports; and special
events Monday through Friday to residents age 50 and better. A listing of classes and activities is
published in the Beyond the Neon Leisure Guide, available in the centers and online at www.
lasvegasparksandrec.com. All activities are subject to change. Most activities require $2 annual
membership to city of Las Vegas Senior Citizen Programs, available at all senior and active adult
centers.

Ongoing Las Vegas Senior Activities and Events

New Walk with Ease Program (ages 50+)
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:30 p.m.
Cost: $5 drop in, or free with fitness pass purchase.

Join this new walking group that is part of the Arthritis Foundation program.

Lieburn Free Matinee Movies (ages 50+)
Wednesdays, 1:30 p.m.

East Las Vegas Free Matinee Movies (ages 50+)
Fridays, 1 p.m.

Fire Prevention Week Seminar (ages 50+)
Wednesday, Oct. 8, 10:30 a.m.

It’s fire prevention week and a special guest speaker from the city’s fire department will share some fire

Madd Hatter Tea Party Luncheon! (ages 50+)
Wednesday, Oct. 8, 11:30 a.m. Advance registration required.

Dress in your best spooky attire with a hat to match (made at the earlier workshop) to sip tea and dine

Murder Mystery Luncheon (ages 50+)
Thursday, Oct. 9, 11:30 a.m.  
Cost: $5.

Join us for the production of “Café Murder,” put on by our own musical theatre performing group. You
can help us solve this murder, so put on your detective hats and join us for this fun luncheon

Glow in the Dark Birthday Bingo! (ages 50+)

Cost: $2 Active Adult/Senior Programs annual membership + $15/AARP member or $20/non-member
(check made payable to AARP the day of the class)
