Since its beginnings in 1998, Las Vegas’s resident orchestra has gained deserved recognition in the community. The Phil’s repertoire is largely highbrow, with new works occasionally commissioned from contemporary composers. Aside from the concerts at Smith Center, the Phil also performs pop classics to family audiences in annual recitals timed to coincide with holidays such as Independence Day.
