Written by Trinity Smith and Lablaque Williams, this musical production of “Amandla… Power to Us!”, performed by youth and for youth, delves into the minds of young people in search of social justice and personal truths through dance, music and spoken word, focusing on the events of the 1976 youth uprising in Soweto, South Africa. The performance is sponsored by the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District and the Las Vegas Library District Foundation, and is made possible, in part, by a Clark County Outside Agency Grant, the NV Energy Foundation and community support.
