Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter provided the basis for Suzan-Lori Parks’ play, In the Blood. Centered around a group of African-American characters forced to live on the street through catastrophic circumstances, the two act play was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2000.
Following the 90 minute staged reading, A Public Fit artists will continue the conversation with the Buzzz, an interactive discussion between the production cast/crew and the audience.
