Free Senior Meal

Lutheran Social Services of Nevada invites seniors to come eat and mingle over a free, hot, nutritious meal Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon – 1 p.m. at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church.

The menu changes daily and includes meals like turkey chili with a mixed green salad and low-fat dressing, and baked chicken with mixed veggies. All meals meet state nutrition guidelines for seniors and are prepared by the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas and the menu changes daily.

Seniors 60 and older and their spouses or caregivers, as well as disabled people who live in senior housing, eat for free (small donations are accepted but not required). Those under 60 can dine for a suggested $5 donation. There are no religious or financial requirements and no stipulations. Just food, fun and socializing!
