Ethel M Chocolates Cactus Garden Lighting Ceremony
November 7, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 10:00 pmFree
An annual tradition not to be missed in the Las Vegas area, Ethel M Chocolates will host their Cactus Garden lighting on Nov. 7. The ceremonial lighting of the 3-acre cactus garden will occur at approximately 6 p.m. with more than one million colorful twinkling lights. The event opens to guests at 5 p.m. and will conclude at 10 p.m.
Recognized as one of the most memorable holiday kickoffs in Southern Nevada, the cactus garden lighting ceremony is fully supported by many local talents and entertainers. This year’s lineup of performers includes Clark County School District choirs; members from Nevada Ballet Theatre’s The Nutcracker; Sin City Opera; a cappella group The Sound Collage; and world-renowned magic and comedy duo, Penn & Teller. Mercedes Martinez from Mix 94.1 FM returns to host the festivities.
New to this year’s holiday attraction, Ethel M will transform the back pavilion into their very own winter wonderland with an ice skating rink. The rink will open the night of the lighting ceremony through the new year. Hours of operation will be daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Price will vary by time and date with tickets ranging from $10 – $20 per person per hour. Each ticket will come with a complimentary cup of Ethel M’s gourmet hot chocolate. Children under the age of 13 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
In addition to the ice skating rink, families will have the opportunity to take professional pictures with Santa for $10 each or take their own; enjoy chocolate samples; and purchase new delectable holiday treats for everyone on their list.
The holiday lighting is a ticketed event, however there is no monetary fee. Those who are interested in attending the event can receive a four-pack of tickets in exchange for a new unwrapped toy donation to assist HELP of Southern Nevada or a non-perishable food item(s) for Three Square Food Bank. Guests can also choose to make a one-time monetary donation to either one of the organizations by going to www.ethelm.com/holidaylights. Those who make a monetary donation will need to show their receipt to pick up their tickets. Tickets can be picked up from the Henderson retail location beginning now through the night of the event.
The Ethel M Holiday Cactus Garden will be open every night beginning Nov. 7 up until Jan. 1, it is free to the public all holiday season (no pets, please). The garden will shine bright every night from 5 to 10 p.m.
