Las Vegas Jewish Film Festival: Balabustas

The Las Vegas Jewish Film Festival (LVJFF) will continue to present informative and entertaining contemporary global Jewish cinema for the entire community.
All films will be presented free of charge on a first-come, limited seating basis. Moderators will provide introductions and post-screening discussions with the audience.

In honor of our 18th Chai anniversary year, a new documentary about historic influential Jewish women of Southern Nevada entitled “Balabustas” will premiere at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27 at the Adelson Educational Campus, the host venue, 9700 Hillpointe Road in Summerlin.
LVJFF shares insight into Jewish identity, history and culture, promoting solidarity with Israel and remembrance of the Holocaust. Everyone is encouraged to attend. The 2019 LVJFF is dedicated in honor of the 11 victims of the Pittsburgh mass shooting at L’Simcha Congregation (Tree of Life) earlier this year.
LVJFF is presented with major support provided by Desert Space Foundation, Adelson Family Foundation, Israeli American Council, Adelson Educational Campus, Las Vegas Review-Journal, South Point Hotel Casino, National Endowment for the Humanities, Nevada Humanities, National Endowment for the Arts, Nevada Arts Council, Jewish Nevada/Jewish Community Center, Anti-Defamation League and Jewish National Fund.
