Out of the Darkness Las Vegas Community Walk
April 4 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pmFree
NOTICE: Due to preventative measures being taken toward the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), some events in Las Vegas have been either postponed or canceled. This may be one of them. Please check with the particular venue for any Las Vegas event that you are considering attending for the most up to date information regarding any changes to the status of it.
The Las Vegas community will come together on April 4, 2020 at Craig Ranch Regional Park to spread awareness about suicide prevention and mental health, support those who have lost loved ones to suicide, and to raise much needed funds for research, programs, and advocacy. Registration is free and open to the public. Individual and team fundraising is encouraged to help AFSP further their mission to save lives and bring hope to all affected by suicide, and walk donations are accepted until June 30th.
Come early so you can explore our community partner resource tables. There will be a Raffle and Silent Auction items. Pre-register for the event and receive one free raffle ticket at check-in! Please bring a photo of your loved one, if you would like to display it at the event.
When you walk in the Out of the Darkness Walks, you join the effort with hundreds of thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss. Held in hundreds of cities across the country, they give people the courage to open up about their own struggle or loss, and the platform to change our culture’s approach to mental health.
Thanks to Walkers and Donors like you, AFSP has been able to set a goal to reduce the annual suicide rate 20% by 2025. Join a quarter of a million people from hundreds of cities across all 50 states to raise awareness and funds that will save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide. Thank you for your support! We look forward to seeing you at the walk!
