About USHER:

Usher is an American pop-R&B artist among the most successful of the late 20th and early 21st century. Usher scored his first charted single as a peach-fuzz face teen with the single “Call Me a Mack,” released in 1993. At this time, Usher was part of the thriving LaFace label roster, and he immediately impacted the post-new jack swing era. Usher successfully rode mainstream songwriting and production trends across three decades. He reached platinum class for the first time with My Way (1997), and shortly after, Usher won the Best Male Vocal R&B Performance Grammy awards with “U Remind Me” (2001) and “U Don’t Have to Call” (2002). Incredibly, he hadn’t yet peaked, not until the arrival of his milestone fourth album, Confessions (2004). That album bred four consecutive top one pop slams, got a Grammy for Best Contemporary R&B Album, and entered the ranks of Whitney Houston, Thriller, and CrazySexyCool by reaching diamond platinum status. This record sold ten million copies in the U.S.! It also began a streak of four releases, including another Grammy prizewinner for the Best R&B Contemporary Album: Raymond v Raymond, released in 2012. It got crowned on the Billboard 200 and R&B/hip-hop charts. Usher has been the artist that succeeded Michael Jackson more than anyone else as a singer, songwriter, producer, dancer, and all-around entertainer.
