Global Warming: Hoax, Doomsday or What?

The Las Vegas Science and Technology Festival presents “Global Warming: Hoax, Doomsday or What?” a climate change debate featuring Dr. Michael Shermer and James Taylor, moderated by local meteorologist and personality, Nathan Tannenbaum on Wednesday, May 3 at 6:30 p.m., inside the Windmill Library Performing Arts Center – located at 7060 W Windmill Ln, Las Vegas, NV 89113 (registration is required).

Due to the current political arena regarding regulations on climate change and global warming, our Earth’s sustainability is at the center of discussion. Joined together again in Las Vegas, Shermer and Taylor embark on the hot topic of global warming, vigorously debating their respective sides while answering audience inquiries.

Publisher of Skeptic magazine and Executive Director of the Skeptics Society, Shermer’s decorated resume includes degrees from Pepperdine University, California State University, Fullerton, and Claremont Graduate University; published articles in various science publications, Wall Street Journal and Los Angeles Times; guest appearances on The Colbert Report, 20/20, Dateline, Larry King Live, and Oprah; and countless interviews in science and history documentaries airing on PBS, A&E, Discovery, The History Channel and The Science Channel.

President of the Spark the Freedom Foundation, Taylor promotes affordable, abundant energy founded in conservative economics principles, while supporting common-ground energy solutions. With degrees from Dartmouth College and Syracuse University College of Law, Taylor’s work history includes providing environmental analysis on CNN, CNN Headline News, CBS Evening News, MSNBC and several national radio programs. Both Taylor and the Spark of Freedom Foundation believe in making affordable, environmentally friendly options available to American families, including hydro, nuclear and natural gas.
