Free Oktoberfest Fun On Tap In Downtown Las Vegas Oct. 1
Traditional Music, Dance, Food And Drink Will Transform Centennial Plaza
Everyone is invited to enjoy the eighth annual Oktoberfest celebration downtown at Centennial Plaza Saturday, Oct. 1, from 3 to 9 p.m. at 401 S. Fourth St. Located on the campus of the Historic Fifth Street School at Fourth Street and Clark Avenue, the outdoor event on Centennial Plaza will be free and open to the public. Enjoy traditional German food, beers, music and dance. Refreshments will be available for sale.
Entertainment will be provided by the German folk music band, AlpenBand California, with folk dancing by the Las Vegas Bavarians. A children’s activity area will feature caricature artists, face painting, balloon artists, games, activities and much more.
Limited free parking will be available at the Historic Fifth Street School. The city’s covered parking garage directly across Fourth Street from the celebration will charge a $3 flat fee for event parking. Limited metered parking is available on surrounding streets. The event is presented by the city of Las Vegas in partnership with the German-American Social Club of Nevada.
