Screen Printing Workshop

The College of Liberal Arts’ University Forum lecture series presents On Painting and Mediated Experience a talk by John Bauer, artist, Based in Los Angeles.

John Bauer’s abstract paintings question the nature of expression within the historical contexts of art and culture. The artist recycles a personal lexicon of signs, marrying the digital to the handmade with a combination of screen printing and painting. In this talk, Bauer will explore his paintings, career, and creative practice.

Visitors are invited to view his work in the Barrick’s gallery, and attend a free screen printing workshop prior to the lecture.
