Writers Workshop series: Passive vs. Active Voice
Co-sponsored by Mystic Publisher
Wednesday, November 30 – 6 p.m.
Jewel Box Theater
For some plots, it’s better to have a strong, active voice to keep the flow moving and the reader motivated and wanting more. For other occasions, a softer, less aggressive voice may work where subtlety is needed. Join author/publisher Jo Wilkins and examine these two very different writing styles and determine when and how you should use them for best effect in your own writing.
Wilkins is a best-selling science fiction novelist, president of her own multi-platform/multi-imprint publishing company Mystic Publishers, and co-founder of the Henderson Writers Group.
