In a delightful twist, the bustling Bonneville Regional Transit Center in downtown Las Vegas is set to host a series of pop-up produce stands this spring and early summer. From April through June 2024, commuters and visitors alike can enjoy a wide selection of organic fruits and vegetables right at the heart of the city.
The Southern Nevada Health District, in collaboration with local vendors, is spearheading this initiative. Whether you’re a health-conscious traveler or a regular commuter, these stands promise a feast for your taste buds and a boost for your well-being.
Mark your calendars for the following Tuesdays:
Convenience is the key factor at the farmers market pop-ups! Shoppers can easily pay using their SNAP/EBT card, cash, debit, or credit cards. There is no need to worry about carrying cash—you can shop for your favorite produce without any hassle. Additionally, healthy recipe cards, nutrition education, and other health resources will be available at the pop-ups.
For more information, call the Office of Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion at (702) 759-1270 or visit Get Healthy Clark County.
So, whether you’re stocking up on crisp apples, leafy greens, or juicy berries, make a pit stop at the Bonneville Transit Center. It’s a win-win situation – nourish your body and support local growers. We hope to see you soon at the stands!
