See Cleopatra and Six Decades of Caesars Palace History for Free
The Caesars Palace 60th Anniversary Experience is a free exhibit celebrating the people, performances, sporting events, and memorable moments that have shaped the Las Vegas resort since it opened in 1966.
Its centerpiece is the restored Cleopatra statue that once welcomed visitors to Cleopatra’s Barge. The exhibit also brings together vintage photographs, employee uniforms, casino artifacts, entertainment memorabilia, and historical curiosities from the Caesars Palace collection.
There is no admission charge or ticket required to browse the exhibit. It is an especially convenient addition to a Strip sightseeing day and one of the historical stops visitors can discover among the many free things to do in Las Vegas.

How to Find the Exhibit
The Caesars Palace 60th Anniversary Experience is inside the resort near the Appian Way Shops and the large replica of Michelangelo’s David. From the David statue, look for the nearby former poker-room space containing the anniversary displays.
Because Caesars Palace is a large resort, allow additional walking time when arriving from the Strip entrance, a parking area, or another section of the property.
Cleopatra Returns to Caesars Palace
The Cleopatra statue debuted at Caesars Palace in 1970 and became closely associated with Cleopatra’s Barge, the longtime lounge and entertainment venue that closed in 2020.
After being removed and restored, Cleopatra has returned as the centerpiece of the anniversary exhibit. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the display and take respectful photographs without touching or climbing on the statue.
