Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art and Natural History

Free admission. All are welcome.

The Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art, which is located on UNLV’s main campus, features contemporary art exhibits by local and traveling artists, multicultural events, and educational programs.

One of the not-so-well-known free things to do in Las Vegas, and it frequently hosts events, artist talks, workshops, and film screenings that are open to the public.

Currently, the museum boasts six galleries with rotating exhibits from local to international artists. It features an expansive collection of fine, contemporary art and exhibits on Nevada’s natural history, Southwest ecology, Native American artifacts, and desert animals.

Hours: The museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The museum is closed on Mondays and all state and federal holidays.

Admission: Free (suggested contributions are $5 for adults and $2 for children and seniors)
