SAHARA History and North Strip Location
The original Sahara Hotel and Casino opened in 1952. The property later closed, operated under the SLS Las Vegas name, and returned to the SAHARA Las Vegas identity following extensive redevelopment and renovation.
Today’s resort preserves its historic name while presenting contemporary hotel rooms, casino areas, restaurants, bars, entertainment spaces, pools, and meeting facilities. Current operations should not be confused with the layout, attractions, or policies of the original Sahara.
SAHARA is located near Sahara Avenue at the northern end of the Strip. The resort is north of the primary central Strip hotel corridor and is not located in Downtown Las Vegas.

Blanca, Marra, and Alexandria Hotel Towers
SAHARA offers more than 1,600 rooms and suites across the Blanca, Marra, and Alexandria towers. Room designs, sizes, views, furnishings, accessibility features, elevator routes, and proximity to resort facilities differ among towers and accommodation categories.
Blanca accommodations combine updated rooms with pop-art and nostalgic design elements. Marra rooms and suites use a modern style, while Alexandria accommodations provide additional room and suite categories near resort wellness facilities.
Current hotel policies include check-in beginning at 4:00 p.m., a mandatory daily resort fee for most standard reservations, identification requirements, payment and deposit rules, and reservation-specific cancellation terms. Fees, included amenities, promotional exemptions, deposits, and policies can change.
Visitors comparing mandatory hotel charges can review the Vegas4Locals Las Vegas resort fees guide before booking.
Slots, Table Games, and Sports Betting
The SAHARA casino offers slot machines, video poker, blackjack, roulette, craps, baccarat, other table games, premium gaming areas, and sports wagering. Game inventory, table availability, minimum wagers, odds, operating hours, tournaments, and promotions can change.
Infinity Rewards is the property’s casino loyalty program. Membership, earning rates, benefits, complimentary offers, tier qualifications, redemption rules, and promotional periods are controlled by the current program terms.
Casino gaming and sports wagering are restricted to guests age 21 or older. Guests should carry acceptable identification, gamble responsibly, follow posted game rules, and comply with instructions from casino employees.
Restaurants, Bars, Lounges, and Coffee
SAHARA offers full-service restaurants, casual dining, Asian noodles, Italian food, steakhouse dining, sports-bar food, Mexican-inspired dishes, coffee, quick-service choices, cocktails, and casino bars. Restaurant names, menus, chefs, hours, reservations, age restrictions, and availability can change.
Bars and lounges may present changing DJs, live music, dueling pianos, sports viewing, or other entertainment. A restaurant or lounge reservation should not be treated as admission to a separately ticketed show, pool event, or private function.
