Universal Horror Unleashed is a year-round immersive horror destination created by Universal Destinations & Experiences. Located within Zone 2 of the AREA15 District, the attraction brings the cinematic sets, performers, sound design, practical effects, and elaborate scares associated with Universal’s horror productions into a permanent Las Vegas venue.
The experience occupies a climate-controlled 110,000-square-foot warehouse containing four haunted houses, four connected entertainment areas, roaming characters, a live stage show, themed restaurants and bars, and exclusive horror merchandise. Guests are not pushed through the building as part of one continuous haunted maze. Instead, they enter the main venue and decide how to divide their time among the houses, entertainment, dining, character encounters, and photo opportunities.
Each haunted house tells a separate story. Universal Monsters moves through crypts, laboratories, castles, and tombs associated with cinema’s classic creatures. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre follows a path through a cemetery, roadside gas station, and the Sawyer family home. Scarecrow: The Reaping transforms a Dust Bowl farm into a field of moving burlap and bone. Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer follows two girls as an ordinary neighborhood descends into supernatural chaos.
Universal attempts to send guests into the houses in small, separated groups. This pulsed-entry format reduces the number of people immediately ahead and removes the safety of following a large crowd through every scene. Universal Monsters
Follow the path of famed monster hunter Van Helsing through a crumbling mausoleum and into the worlds of Universal’s classic horror creatures. The route moves through Castle Dracula, The Mummy’s tomb, Frankenstein’s laboratory, and other gothic environments.
