Universal Horror Unleashed is a year-round immersive horror attraction from Universal Destinations & Experiences at AREA15 Zone 2: The Terminals.

The climate-controlled 110,000-square-foot venue combines four cinematic haunted houses with live characters, entertainment areas, themed restaurants, bars and horror merchandise.

Unlike a traditional seasonal haunted attraction, guests can move through the venue at their own pace. Depending on the ticket purchased, visitors can enter each haunted house once, repeat the houses or enjoy the atmosphere without entering a haunted house at all.

Universal also uses pulsed entry whenever possible to send smaller groups into the houses instead of creating one continuous line of guests moving through every scene.

Four Cinematic Haunted Houses

Each house creates a different style of horror.

Universal Monsters

Follow Van Helsing through gothic crypts, Castle Dracula, The Mummy’s tomb, Frankenstein’s laboratory and other environments inspired by Universal’s classic monster films.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Move from a lonely cemetery and roadside gas station into the Sawyer family home as chainsaws, close encounters and disturbing scenes build around the group.

Scarecrow: The Reaping

Enter a cursed Dust Bowl farm filled with barns, foggy cornfields and burlap-and-bone scarecrows that may not stay where they appear to be.

Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer

An ordinary neighborhood descends into supernatural terror through homes, woods, hospital spaces, possession scenes and demonic imagery.

Horror Continues Outside the Houses

The venue includes four immersive entertainment areas that connect the haunted houses.

Jack’s Alley: A chaotic carnival environment with Jack the Clown, Chance and a recurring interactive show.
Kill Vault: A slasher-themed area with cages, bloody props, roaming characters and photo opportunities.
Prop Graveyard: A corridor filled with strange movie props, mannequins, boxes and figures that may not all be inanimate.
Dead Storage: Horror artifacts, atmospheric characters and live performance elements continue the experience between houses.

Entertainment, characters and individual performance times can change throughout the evening.

Food and Drinks Inside Universal Horror Unleashed

Four themed food-and-drink locations operate inside the attraction.

Premiere House Bar offers a full-service restaurant and bar surrounded by props and décor inspired by Universal horror films. Reservations are available and recommended.

Other locations include themed bars, quick-service food, desserts, snacks, cocktails, mocktails, beer and other beverages.

Food and drinks are separate purchases unless a ticket package specifically includes them.

Guests must be at least 21 years old with valid photo ID to purchase or consume alcohol.

Because re-entry is not permitted, any dining reservation should be scheduled after the ticketed entry time.

Expect Intense Scares: Live performers, jump scares, disturbing imagery and close character encounters are part of the experience.
Expect Sensory Effects: Strobe lights, lasers, synthetic fog, darkness and high-intensity surround sound are used.
Wear Comfortable Shoes: A typical visit involves several hours of walking and standing.
Large Bags: Oversized bags and luggage may need to be stored in a paid locker.
Costumes: Guest costumes must follow Universal’s current costume policy. Costume masks are prohibited.
Merchandise: Shop after completing the haunted experiences because purchased merchandise cannot be carried back into the attraction.
Outside Food and Drinks: Not permitted except when required for medical or religious reasons.
Service Animals: Trained service animals are permitted subject to Universal’s current policies.
