A Quiet Fine-Art Experience on the Las Vegas Strip
Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art presents focused exhibitions developed with respected museums, foundations, and private collections. Its intimate format gives visitors time to examine each object without navigating a large museum or leaving the Las Vegas Strip.
The gallery is inside Bellagio Resort near the pool promenade. Its museum-style rooms are organized around one temporary exhibition rather than a permanent collection.
The current presentation, SOULFUL CREATURES: Animal Mummies in Ancient Egypt, combines ancient artifacts with archaeology, Egyptian religion, art history, and modern scientific imaging. It is scheduled through September 13, 2026.
The gallery is a strong choice for art and history enthusiasts, couples, families, Bellagio guests, and visitors comparing cultural experiences with other Las Vegas tours and attractions.

SOULFUL CREATURES: Animal Mummies in Ancient Egypt
SOULFUL CREATURES explores why ancient Egyptians mummified animals and how different species were connected to daily life, sacred rituals, religious offerings, and particular gods.
Organized in partnership with the Brooklyn Museum, the exhibition contains nearly 100 authentic objects. These include animal mummies, sculptures, ritual objects, ancient Egyptian artworks, CT scans, and X-ray images.
- Animal Mummies: View authentically preserved birds, cats, dogs, reptiles, and other animals from the Brooklyn Museum’s Egyptian collection.
- Ancient Egyptian Art: Sculptures, coffins, and ritual objects explain the connections between animals, deities, and religious beliefs.
- CT Scans and X-Rays: Modern imaging reveals what researchers discovered beneath the wrappings of selected mummies.
- Archaeological Research: Scientific analysis explores how animal mummies were prepared and what was placed inside them.
- Religion and Ritual: Displays explain how mummified animals served as offerings or carried worshippers’ messages to deities.
See SOULFUL CREATURES before it closes September 13, 2026.
What to Expect Inside the Gallery
Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art is smaller and more focused than a full-scale metropolitan museum. The current experience occupies an intimate two-room gallery covering approximately 2,600 square feet.
The exhibition combines preserved animal remains with religious objects, ancient artwork, scientific scans, and detailed interpretive text. Most visitors can see the complete exhibition in about one hour, although those who read every label may need longer.
- Quiet Atmosphere: The gallery provides a calmer setting than the surrounding casino and resort areas.
- Detailed Interpretation: Labels explain ancient beliefs, mummification techniques, excavation history, and scientific discoveries.
- Authentic Objects: The exhibition contains original ancient artifacts and preserved animal remains rather than only replicas.
- Focused Layout: The compact rooms follow one clear subject from beginning to end.
- Serious Subject Matter: Parents should consider whether authentic animal mummies and scientific images are appropriate for each child.
