Created and established in 1959 by Betty Willis and Ted Rogich, the famous “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign sits at the South end of the Strip.
Decades since it was erected, it remains an historic and welcoming beacon to travelers as they descend upon Las Vegas and its now palatial resorts.
A popular stop for photo takers, the sign sits on an island between the north and southbound traffic on Las Vegas Boulevard. A convenient and free parking area is available at the sign’s location for photographing this iconic Las Vegas landmark.
The sign is illuminated after nightfall, and creates a completely different look.
