Binion’s History
Benny Binion established the Horseshoe Club at 128 Fremont Street in 1951. The property expanded when Binion acquired the neighboring Boulder Club in 1960. His family later acquired The Mint Hotel in 1988, creating the larger property now known as Binion’s Gambling Hall & Hotel.
The first World Series of Poker took place at Binion’s in 1970. The tournament is no longer held at the property, but the casino remains closely associated with the development of tournament poker in Las Vegas.
TLC Casino Enterprises acquired Binion’s in March 2008. It also owns the Four Queens Hotel & Casino across Fremont Street.
Hotel Apache
Hotel Apache is the current boutique hotel inside Binion’s. It has 80 renovated rooms designed to recall the original hotel that opened at the property in 1932.
