Boulder Bowl is a historic eight-lane bowling alley at 504 California Ave. in Boulder City. Built in 1947, the compact neighborhood venue combines vintage bowling features with newer pinsetters and scoring tablets.

The bowling alley offers open play, adult and youth leagues, cosmic bowling, party packages, complete venue rentals, food, nonalcoholic drinks, a full bar, merchandise, and free customer parking.

Boulder Bowl Hours

• Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

These are the venue’s general operating hours, not guaranteed public-lane times. Leagues, parties, maintenance, and special programs may occupy some or all eight lanes.

The venue currently lists closures on January 1, July 4, Thanksgiving, December 24, December 25, and December 31. Holiday policies can change, so call before making a special trip.

Open Bowling

Open bowling is offered whenever lanes are not committed to leagues, parties, or other scheduled activities. Boulder Bowl does not reserve individual lanes for ordinary public bowling.

Public lanes are first come, first served. Call (702) 293-2368 or check the venue’s current social updates before arriving because open-bowling availability may differ from the building’s posted hours.

Boulder Bowl permits up to six bowlers on one lane. Bowling games, rental shoes, promotions, and special programs are priced under the current schedule.

Eight Vintage Bowling Lanes

Boulder Bowl has eight lanes in a compact historic setting. The venue retains several period characteristics while using updated pinsetting equipment and scoring tablets.

House bowling balls and rental shoes are available. Guests may also bring suitable personal bowling equipment.

Vintage bumpers are available. However, they are not automatic and cannot be raised or lowered for individual bowlers during the same lane assignment. The bumpers remain in one position for everyone using that lane.

Boulder Bowl does not provide ball rollers because the venue states that they may scratch its vintage approaches.

Adult and Youth Bowling Leagues

Boulder Bowl organizes co-ed, women’s, men’s, and youth bowling leagues. Available formats may include conventional ten-pin competition and nine-pin no-tap bowling.

Prior league experience and personal equipment are not required. The venue states that league bowlers may use house shoes and bowling balls without a separate equipment charge.

League days, formats, session dates, weekly charges, team openings, and age requirements change. Interested bowlers should contact the bowling alley or email gm@boulderbowl.net.

Bowling Parties and Full-Venue Rentals

Boulder Bowl offers party packages using two, three, or four lanes. It also rents the complete eight-lane venue for qualifying private events.

Standard party packages combine two hours of bowling with a fixed number of lanes, guests, food portions, fountain drinks, games, and rental shoes. Package details, deposits, prices, and cancellation terms should be confirmed when booking.

A full-venue rental currently accommodates up to 50 guests and includes all eight lanes. Up to six people may bowl on each lane. Standard full-rental periods range from one to three hours, subject to availability and the signed agreement.

Qualifying outside food and nonalcoholic drinks may be allowed during a full rental. Outside alcohol and popcorn are prohibited. Decorations must follow venue rules, including restrictions on glitter and confetti.

For safety reasons, Boulder Bowl does not book party packages for groups composed of children younger than age 8. Adults must outnumber young children in an eligible party group.

Food, Drinks, and Full Bar

The food counter offers simple bowling-alley items such as hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, pickles, candy, chips, coffee, fountain drinks, juice, sports drinks, and other packaged selections.

Boulder Bowl also operates a full bar serving beer, wine, seltzers, mixed drinks, shots, and alcohol-free choices. Selection, prices, specials, and service availability can change.

Alcohol may be purchased only by guests age 21 or older with valid identification. Boulder Bowl remains a family bowling facility rather than an adults-only bar.

Guests with serious food allergies or strict dietary needs should ask staff about ingredients and preparation practices. A menu description does not guarantee protection from cross-contact.

Family Bowling and Children

Families may participate in open bowling, qualifying parties, cosmic bowling, and youth league programs. Children age 7 or younger must remain accompanied by an adult.

Groups needing bumpers should arrange lane assignments carefully because the venue cannot change the bumper position for individual bowlers on one lane.

Adults should supervise children around bowling approaches, ball returns, ball racks, seating areas, and the bar. Bowling balls should remain near the assigned lane and should not be carried unnecessarily through crowded areas.

Parking and Arrival

Boulder Bowl currently provides free customer parking. Spaces may be limited during leagues, private rentals, special programs, and busy weekend periods.

Drivers should follow posted signs and keep accessible spaces, pedestrian routes, entrances, and fire access clear.

The bowling alley is a small historic venue. Guests should arrive early enough to park, obtain rental shoes, choose a suitable house ball, and receive lane instructions.

Accessibility

Boulder Bowl publishes a digital-accessibility statement but does not provide a complete physical-access inventory for parking, entrances, lanes, approaches, seating, restrooms, counters, or party configurations.

The historic building and vintage bowling equipment may create needs that differ from those at a newly constructed bowling center. Ball rollers are not available because the venue protects its vintage approaches.

Visitors who need accessible parking, a step-free route, wheelchair clearance, lane placement, seating arrangements, service-animal guidance, or another accommodation should call before visiting.
