Core Services Shelter Recovery and Basic Needs
The Mission provides emergency shelter, and our transition programs operate year-round to support the basic critical needs of the homeless. These services include the Lighthouse Recovery Program, which supports individuals in transforming their lives, and Shelter of Hope, which uses “bed count” to track the number of safe, emergency beds available to help. In addition to providing shelter, the Mission serves tens of thousands of meals each year and provides free clothing to individuals transitioning from homelessness. All these programs are also designed to offer some pathway to recovery, stability, and hope.
Engagement Volunteering and Giving Back
The success of the Las Vegas Rescue Mission largely depends on the time and resources of safe, good-hearted, and concerned volunteers. Community participation and engagement can take various forms, including establishing a 501(c)(3) organization and using resources. However, for the average person or family just wishing to help, we welcome you to volunteer your time, food, clothing, or other items at our signature annual events. Financial donations are always welcome, especially since we receive very little government funding outside our local county for our needed programs. Donations of a Thanksgiving table are also a meal for someone in need, again.
