The 180-acre Las Vegas Springs Preserve is a cultural and environmental resource as well as an ongoing attraction that looks to the history of the city and its future: sustainability. With its botanical gardens, museum, nature trails, and interactive displays, the Preserve combines history, nature, and learning. It is more than a century old and is on the National Register of Historic Places, allowing visitors to see just how their neighbors once lived in the area, as well as to understand better why conservation and sustainability are so important.
