The Winchester Dondero cultural and recreational facility is a distinctive campus featuring a wide range of amenities, including a park, amphitheater, classrooms, and several art-specific spaces. It is home to Clark County’s only indoor theater, featuring a 220-seat venue that is frequently described as the “artistic beat of Southern Nevada.“ This venue presents a variety of musical, dance, and theatrical performances, featuring accomplished performers from across the nation, as well as local and youth theater groups. The Winchester Gallery is the venue’s larger exhibition space, featuring exhibitions specifically for local and regional visual artists.
The Winchester Dondero property includes the Cultural Center building and approximately 8.9 acres of parkland. Park features include a skate park, which provides a space for board sports, and a beautiful desert demonstration garden used for environmental education. The center offers a range of youth and adult programming, including dance, theater, poetry, music, and fitness. The venue is completely ADA compliant, ensuring all individuals have access to the amenities and cultural programming at the park.
Winchester Dondero serves as an active hosting site for unique community-based festivals, including the yearly Children’s Festival and the Life in Death Festival. Its multiple facilities (meeting rooms, classroom spaces, theater, indoor, and outdoor amphitheater) also make Winchester Dondero the perfect location to rent space. In addition, our staff makes it a goal to foster togetherness among artists and cultural groups, enabling them to develop their unique programming. This creates a great place to host celebrations that provide community significance and connection.
