Las Vegas Parking FAQs

While some Las Vegas casino hotels still offer free parking, the availability of free parking has decreased in recent years. It’s advisable to check with the specific casino hotel you plan to visit to determine if they charge for parking and the associated fees.

Parking charges can vary for hotel guests and visitors. In some cases, hotel guests may enjoy free parking as part of their stay, while visitors may be required to pay a fee. Inquiring about the parking policies when making reservations or upon arrival at the casino hotel is recommended.

Most locals casinos (those that are off the Strip and not in downtown Las Vegas) offer free self-parking, and a few may offer complimentary valet as well.

Yes, parking is free at shopping malls in the Las Vegas area. Most malls offer complimentary self-parking, and some even provide valet parking services either for a charge or free of cost. However, it’s important to note that if the shopping destination is within a casino, such as the Forum at Caesars Palace, the Venetian Grand Canal Shoppes, or the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, the parking policies align with those of the connected hotel-casino. Fashion Show Mall and The Shops at Crystals at Citycenter, both on the Strip, offer free parking to all guests.

Some casino hotels may offer parking discounts or promotions, especially for loyalty program members or during certain events. Check the casino hotel’s website or contact customer service to inquire about any available discounts.

If you prefer to avoid parking charges at casino hotels, alternative options are available. These include using public transportation, such as buses or taxis/ride-shares, or utilizing parking facilities in the surrounding areas and walking to the casino hotel. In downtown Las Vegas, you can use the free Downtown Loop shuttle bus to get around and avoid parking altogether.

Losing your parking slip can be frustrating, but there’s no need to worry. If you find yourself in this situation, head to the parking office or front desk when you’re ready to leave. They’ll be able to assist you in resolving the issue. Be prepared to provide some details such as your license plate number, approximate entry time, and any other relevant information that may help them locate your record. You may need to pay the maximum daily charge to exit the parking lot. To avoid this issue in the future, it’s a good idea to take a picture of your parking slip after you park and store the receipt in your wallet or purse where you will remember it. It’s important not to leave the parking slip in your vehicle, as a thief could easily steal it.

Most Las Vegas casino hotels allow overnight parking for both guests and visitors. However, it’s essential to verify this with the specific hotel. Some properties may have restrictions or additional fees for extended stays.

If you prefer valet parking, inquire about the associated fees and whether it’s available 24/7. Some hotels offer complimentary valet services, while others charge a fee for it. If you are a hotel guest, the resort fee may include the service, so be sure to ask so you won’t unnecessarily pay it twice. Remember to tip the valet attendants for their service.

If you’re traveling in an RV or have an oversized vehicle, check if the casino hotel accommodates such vehicles. Some properties have designated areas for larger vehicles, while others may not allow them due to space constraints.

Additional charges may apply if you exceed the parking time limit. The excess charges can vary depending on the casino hotel’s policies and the duration of the exceeded time. It’s advisable to be mindful of the parking time limits and plan accordingly to avoid additional fees.

Some casino hotels provide a short grace period (usually around 15-30 minutes) after paying for parking. During this time, you won’t incur additional charges if you exit promptly. Confirm this policy when paying for parking.

Remember that parking policies can vary, so always check with the specific casino hotel for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

If you happen to exceed the grace period, additional charges may apply. These charges are typically calculated based on the extra time you spent in the parking facility, and the excess charges can vary depending on the garage’s policies and the duration of the exceeded time.

Usually, the additional fee for exceeding the grace period is collected at the exit gate. When you approach the exit, the automated system will calculate the total parking duration, including the grace period, and display the additional charge if applicable. You will be required to pay the difference at that time, either by cash, credit card, or any other accepted payment method.

Losing your parked car in a parking lot or ramp can be a frustrating experience, but it can happen to anyone. Whether it’s because of absent-mindedness, a large parking area, or simply being in a hurry, there are things you can do to locate your car and minimize stress quickly. Remember that staying calm and searching the area methodically can help you find your car faster and get back on the road in no time.

If you can’t find your parked car, stay calm and try these tips:

1. Stay calm, don’t panic and be patient

2. Retrace your steps and look for familiar surroundings

3. Use your key fob to trigger your car’s lights or horn

4. Check nearby levels or sections

5. Ask for help from parking attendants, security personnel, or other nearby individuals

6. Take future precautions to prevent this situation from happening again

7. Next time, use a maps app or parking app to remember where you parked areas. Some parking apps also offer features to help you find your parked car.
