Reporting a Las Vegas Emergency While You Are Out of Town
Calling 911 normally connects you to the emergency center serving your current physical location. If you are elsewhere and learn about a problem at a Las Vegas-area property, call the appropriate local agency’s 10-digit dispatch number and clearly state the address, city, and nature of the incident.
If someone at the scene can safely call 911, have that person do so. For an immediate threat to life, tell the dispatcher that you are reporting an emergency in another jurisdiction and follow the dispatcher’s instructions. Do not describe a life-threatening event as “non-emergency” merely because you are calling from outside the area.
