To reach the memorial from the Las Vegas Strip, head east on Flamingo Road until you reach Koval Lane. This location holds great significance, as it is near the place where Tupac was fatally shot on September 7, 1996. He was waiting at a red light in a BMW driven by Suge Knight.
The Memorial

The Tupac Memorial is a fan-created site that features personal tributes such as messages, flowers, and memorabilia. Since it’s not a permanent structure, visitors’ contributions change its appearance regularly. It’s a grassroots creation that attests to the profound impact Tupac had on his fans and the music industry. It’s a site where people from all backgrounds can gather to commemorate Tupac, pondering the messages he conveyed through his music and public life.
Location and How to Get There
The Tupac Shakur Memorial is located at the intersection of Flamingo Road and Koval Lane. It is situated on a small patch of land on the southwest corner of this intersection. If you’re walking from the Strip, it’s a 10-15 minute stroll. The walk to the memorial provides a moment to reflect on the significance of your visit.
The memorial is also easily accessible by car. But parking can be an issue. There are a few businesses located nearby, such as a Shell Gas Station/Market across from the memorial site and an ARCO gas station; Las Vegas Souvenirs and Gifts is on the opposite corner of Flamingo and Koval, which has a small selection of Tupac items.
If you plan to park your car at any of these businesses, we recommend making a purchase to avoid getting towed. It’s important to notify a store employee that you will be leaving your car for a short time to visit the memorial. Also, be sure not to park in a high-demand spot. Please note that we do not provide any parking policy advice for these businesses, so it’s up to you to make the right decision for your situation.
